Chemical Engineering Design Project (CHEN90022) // Assessment

Part A: Group Assessment / Project- First Report: Team report submission of a feasibility study of up to 30 pages. Peer assessment is required and considered in the marking of these reports. Due approximately one third of the way through the semester (on or around week 4). Part B: An Individual closed-book proctored questionnaire (in class, in-person) where students are asked about the content of their report. Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) 1, 4 and 5 are addressed.

• 30-40 hours (of work required)

Part A: Group Assessment / Project- Second Report: Team report submission of up to 100 pages (not including supporting material such as appendices, diagrams, tables, computations and computer output). Peer assessment is required and considered in the marking of these reports. Due approximately two thirds of the way through the semester (on or around week 8). Part B: An Individual closed-book proctored questionnaire (in class, in-person) where students are asked about the content of their report. ILOs 2, 4 and 5 are addressed.

Part A: Practical Assessment / Project- Final Report: Individual report submission of up to 100 pages (not including supporting material such as appendices, diagrams, tables, computations and computer output). Report includes components generated as a team. Part B: An Individual closed-book proctored questionnaire (in class, in-person) where students are asked about the content of their report. ILOs 3-5 are addressed.

• 170-180 hours (of work required)
