One written examination. Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) 1-4 are addressed in this assessment.

  • 3 hours
Hurdle requirement: Students must score above a hurdle requirement on the total of oral assessment, individual project assignment and final exam. The hurdle requirement will be set by the Board of Examiners and be no higher than 50%		During the examination period45%

Continuous assessment of submitted individual project report including initial circuit design and simulation. ILO 2 is addressed in this assessment.

  • 8-10 hours (of work required)
Week 48%

Continuous assessment of submitted individual assignment. ILOs 1, 2, 4 are addressed in this assessment.

  • 18-20 hours (of work required)
Hurdle requirement: Students must score above a hurdle requirement on the total of oral assessment, individual project assignment and final exam. The hurdle requirement will be set by the Board of Examiners and be no higher than 50%		Week 720%

Continuous assessment of submitted group project work (2-3 students) including innovation in hardware or software implementation. Approximately 5 hours of work per student. ILOs 1, 4 are addressed in this assessment.

  • 5 hours (of work required)
From Week 5 to Week 75%

Oral assessment of hardware implementation and demonstration of project. Approximately 20-25 hours of work per student. ILOs 2, 3, 4 are addressed in this assessment.

  • 20-25 hours (of work required)
Hurdle requirement: Students must score above a hurdle requirement on the total of oral assessment, individual project assignment and final exam. The hurdle requirement will be set by the Board of Examiners and be no higher than 50%		From Week 11 to Week 1222%
