This subject will work through research methods applicable to understanding echocardiography and clinical ultrasound literature. Learning will be reinforced by completing a series of assignments focused on evaluating echocardiography and clinical ultrasound publications.
Intended learning outcomes
The completion of the subject, students should:
- Acquire knowledge of research principles and methods applicable to ultrasound research
- Develop a body of knowledge related to understanding ultrasound literature
- Develop cognitive skills to reflect critically on clinical ultrasound literature
- Develop research skills to justify and interpret methodologies and conclusions in the ultrasound literature
- Apply knowledge and skills to critically evaluate ultrasound literature and relate this to professional practice
