In the subject, the student will learn about ultrasound assessment of lung and musculoskeletal ultrasound and learn how to perform ultrasound guided vascular access and nerve blocks
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Learn how to perform ultrasound-guided vascular access
- Learn how to assess for deep vein thrombosis
- Learn how to perform ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia
- Learn how to perform musculoskeletal ultrasound
- Learn how to perform soft tissue ultrasound
- Practice interpretation on online case studies
