Capstone Music Project Part 1 (MUSI40107)

This subject is conceived as a capstone experience for the Tailored stream in the Bachelor of Music (Degree with Honours) and Graduate Diploma in Music.

Students will design, plan and execute an original music-related project that will bring together skills and knowledge acquired through their studies and personal and professional interests. The nature of the project is flexible and will be negotiated with the subject coordinator. The project will require an independent investigation and the presentation of findings in oral and written reports.

This subject is the first part of a two-subject sequence, taught over two consecutive study periods. Students are required to enrol in MUSI40107 Capstone Music Project Part 1 (18.75 points) and MUSI40108 Capstone Music Project Part 2 (18.75 points), consecutively, for a total enrolment of 37.5 points.

Students will receive a 'CNT' grade for Part 1. An overall result for the subject is given following completion of the two-subject sequence.

Assessment, Subject Intended Learning Outcomes, and Total Time Commitment applies to the entire enrolments across Parts 1 and 2 of the subject.

The Total Time Commitment for the subject is approximately 510 hours, inclusive of the two study periods [MUSI40107 Capstone Music Project Part 1 (18.75 points) and MUSI40108 Capstone Music Project Part 2 (18.75 points)].
