Gender Studies Thesis Part 1 (GEND40006) // Assessment

Additional details

This assessment statement applies to the entire enrolment across Parts 1 and 2 of the subject (i.e. GEND40006 and GEND40007 together):

• A thesis of 15,000 words on an approved topic written over two consecutive semesters, due at the end of the second semester of enrolment (100%).
• One 20-minute presentation at a work-in-progress seminar, either in the student’s School, or as part of a dedicated, cross-Schools Gender Studies Honours workshop.

Please Note: Students are required to attend a minimum of 80% of supervision meetings in order to qualify to have their written work assessed. Any student who fails to meet this hurdle without valid reason will not be eligible to pass the subject. All required written work must be submitted in order to pass the subject. Work submitted after the due date without an extension will be penalised 10% per day.
