This assessment is a combined total assessment for both VETS90060 Applications in Animal Health 1 Part A and VETS90062 Applications in Animal Health 1 Part B
- 2 x online formative quizzes (30 minutes each) in Week 3 of each semester - HURDLE requirement
- Seven intra-semester quizzes (up to 50 minutes) due around weeks 6 and 10 in Semester 1 and weeks 4,5,8,11 and 12 of Semester 2 equally weighted (Total 28.4%)
- One 2-hour end-of-semester examination in Semester 1 and two x 2-hour end-of-semester examinations in Semester 2 worth 22.2% each (Total 66.6%)
- Students must produce a 1000-word research report on one property that they visit demonstrating their understanding and research as to how the enterprise operates, integrating concepts taught in the subject due around week 10 of Semester 2 (5%)
HURDLE REQUIREMENTS
- It is a hurdle requirement that students pass the online formative quizzes.
- Satisfactory completion of two weeks of industry based placement. Approved placements may be local, regional, interstate or international.
- Students must complete a brief written (one page) summary of each extramural placement they visit.
- A minimum mark of 40% in the end-of-semester examination component of any subject (and any unit within a subject) is required for a student to be eligible to pass that subject/unit.
