Eligibility and requirements
Prerequisites
Admission into the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Completion of an approved five day residential course in animal handling, environmental safety and management (may be undertaken concurrently).
Corequisites
All students are to enrol into the following corequisite subject, unless directed by the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences.

Recommended background knowledge
This course assumes prior knowledge in one or more discipline of science. All students will be expected to be familiar with the principles of scientific thinking, hypothesis development, experimental design, data collection, analysis and interpretation.
