In addition to the learning outcomes of the Master of Civil Engineering, students should:
have gained knowledge and practice in advanced structural engineering topics which might include high rise structures, earthquake resistant design of buildings, structural dynamics, structural modelling and geotechnical applications (which contains contents on the integration of structural engineering with geotechnical engineering)
be able to apply that knowledge to analyse and design structural systems
have gained knowledge and practice in civil and structural engineering management including economics, legal liability, intellectual property, ethics and the law as it applies to the civil/structural engineering profession
had the opportunity to develop research principles and methods in the field of civil engineering
