Overview
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this specialisation, students should be able to:
- reflect critically on the role of drama therapists in educational, health and community contexts;
- apply an advanced understanding of theoretical frameworks relevant to drama therapy methods, such as play, creativity, improvisation, storytelling/making and role;
- demonstrate an ability to practice as a drama therapist, designing and facilitating specific activities and series of activities for individuals and groups utilising play, drama and theatre as therapeutic tools;
- exhibit advanced communication skills (verbal and non‐verbal), in responding to the diverse needs of clients in a range of contexts and cultures;
- sustain an advanced understanding of the core therapeutic processes of change in drama therapy.
