- Be familiar with how to minimise infectious and mechanical complications from ultrasound-guided percutaneous procedures
- Display competence in ultrasound-guided procedures on simulators and/or humans including central and peripheral vascular access, drainage of effusions from the lung, heart and peritoneal cavities, and ultrasound-guided surgical airway procedures and write a structured ultrasound report
- Evaluate the requirements for training, competence, and certification in ultrasound-guided procedures
Generic skills
- Improved analytical and interpretive skills
