This subject develops evaluation reasoning and explores how to apply it to educational policies, school or organisation-based programs and other interventions. It discusses theories of change, culturally responsive evaluation approaches and the strengths and limitations of different evaluation designs for use in a variety of educational contexts.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- Understand evaluation reasoning and how to apply it to education policies, school-based programs and other interventions
- Describe theory of change and its applications to educational interventions
- Identify culturally responsive evaluation approaches and resources
- Assess the strengths and limitations of different evaluation designs in a variety of educational contexts.
