Students will develop a screen project collaboratively or individually with the intent to take it to market.
Implementing both creative and business skills developed throughout the course, students will create a project suitable for pitching to the commercial market, including financiers. The process will include research for both the project, and its potential platforms and audiences, as well as story and pitch materials of a professional standard.
Working with other creative contributors or elements, students will develop a unified creative vision for a practical project that can be realised within a given budget, time and framework.
Intended learning outcomes
On completion of this subject, students should be able to:
- research, develop and pitch a real-world screen project;
- integrate creative and business skills in project development;
- collaborate with creative partners to develop a unified creative vision to realise a professional screen project;
- prepare and generate a project plan to take a screen work to a specified market.
