Performance 4 (MUSI20202)

Students will integrate the knowledge, competencies and skills necessary for music performance. Areas to be covered include integration of instrumental or vocal technique with the creation of musical coherence, and specialisation in all related aspects of music performance. Formative feedback in individual and group settings will be provided across the semester.

In order to contextualise their education within the best practices of local, national and international standards, students are expected to work competently and productively both alone and in groups.

The subject involves participation in individual lessons, instrument/voice classes, performance class and/or assigned ensemble activities. In order to ensure the highest level of performance preparation, 100% attendance is expected.

Progression Note:

To progress from Performance 4 into further Practical Music or Performance subjects:

• A subject result of 65% or greater is a prerequisite for MUSI30250 Practical Music 5
• A subject result of 75% or greater is a prerequisite for MUSI30252 Performance 5
• A subject result of 50% to 64%: Students may complete the degree in the Music Studies major.

Concert Class: Students must apply to participate in Concert Class by completing the Concert Class Application on the Conservatorium Special Permission Forms website.
